I love seeing and / or working with clients on their engagement sessions. Engagement sessions are phenomenal for soooooo many reasons. First of all, most of us aren’t used to having professional photographs taken of ourselves. It takes most people a little bit of time to warm up to the idea of being natural in front of a camera. Engagement sessions are also a GREAT way to get to know your wedding photographer (they will be with you all day on your wedding – you NEED to feel comfortable around them!!!), play with hair and makeup (whenever possible – schedule a trial session with your stylist before your engagement shoot. This way you can see if you really like your hair up or down, if you like how you look with false eyelashes on camera, etc) And – let’s face it – these photos are FUN!

We worked together on Emily and Dan’s wedding last summer at the Grand Lake Lodge and I can’t wait to see the gorgeous-ness she captured for Andrew and Rachel’s big day this coming July at Devil’s Thumb Ranch.
