Planet Bluegrass weddings may have become my favorite thing. Every once in a while I am lucky enough to plan and design a wedding that I LOVE and actually manage to stay at my own house in Denver. Katie and Matthew’s June wedding at Planet Bluegrass (located in Lyons, Colorado) was a perfect mix of a great couple, a beautiful design, FUN people (did I mention the part where the groomsmen were all swimming in the river while we were setting up? Yep – the entire vendor team was a little but jealous 🙂

Katie and Matthew (and Katie’s amazing Mom Terri) came to Love This Day Events from a referral from one of the best Aspen weddings I have ever done (yep, we had a parade at T Lazy 7 Ranch. It was thebomb.com. Click here to see! Katie and Matthew wanted the same kind of fun, relaxed festival atmosphere. This party was southern hospitality set in THE quintessential Colorado festival venue. Every aspect was pretty, thoughtful and fun. We teamed up with Blackbelly Catering (YUMMMMM), House of Yonder, Event Rents, Bisou Beauty, Ali V Photography, Atlanta Beats and Planet Bluegrass to make this wedding a damn good way to kick off the wedding season!
