There was a chill in the air this morning (don’t get me wrong – it was hot again in Denver by 10am). It made me started to get excited about two of my favorite things in the world. #1 – IT’S BROWN BOOT SEASON (woohoo) and #2 – It is time to start prepping for some gorgeous Colorado Mountain Winter Weddings! And then I realized that I had not posted Allie and Preston’s absolutely stunning Devil’s Thumb Ranch wedding from December! Enjoy!!
I was the lucky one who was entrusted by these two to plan and design a cozy cabin Christmas wedding while Allie and Preston worked in Dubai (yes – that explains why they dreamed of cold and cozy – doesn’t it?
There were so many parts about this wedding that made me happy. Planning with Allie halfway across the world was actually really fun (all facetime / skype calls were hilarious because one of us had just gotten up and the other was going to sleep). We built an incredible vendor team that included Brinton Studios, Elite DJ, March Floral Designs and Christina Trostel on glam squad and the team at Devil’s Thumb knocked it out of the park for us. Personally, I still think the highlight was when the ring bearer and the flower girl started beating the crap out of each other as they walked down the aisle (real life moments are the best!!!).
Allie and Preston – all of the love in the world to you both. I wish you two a lifetime of bourbon tastings while wrapped in pendleton blankets in front of a roaring fire while it snows outside (because that is pretty much heaven!) I cant wait for a ski weekend this winter!
