You missed a really good party at Matt and Lauren’s Colorado Ranch wedding. A really really good party.
Matt and Lauren are the kind of people that you want to be friends with / hope to be lucky enough to meet friends like these two in your life. This Texas based couple came to Devil’s Thumb Ranch for a weekend wedding extravaganza that was a perfect hippie / hipster chic celebration of FUN!!! We FINALLY were lucky enough to work with the amazing Whitney from Our Labor of Love Photography. Lauren and Matt – can we do it again???
I was SOOOOOO lucky to work with Lauren on the initial planning and design of this amazing day and then the power house team of Rachel and Kirsty took this day and made it even better than I could have dreamed up (and trust me – my expectations were high!)
From Rachel:: Lauren + Matt’s wedding was full of LOVE! Every detail was an expression of their love for each other and the love their friends and family have for them…from the custom light show to the serenade Matt surprised Lauren with, everything was thoughtful and heartfelt! The happiness was palpable, genuine, and uniquely their own.
From Kirsty:: Well, they really were the most fun couple (and crowd) of the summer! From the most colorful cake display ever, to the raunchiest garter toss. From a pitch perfect guitar serenade by the groom to his new wife, to the impeccably-executed, salsa-inspired mother / son dance. Oh, and I guess the fact that the lighting installation came from someone who’s done shows for The Grateful Dead is pretty damn cool too…
This may be my favorite ceremony photo ever. Love someone this much. I dare you 🙂
Lauren and Matt – thank you for having this much fun on your wedding day (hell, in your lives). Thank you for trusting my crazypants design board and listening when I said “I cant explain it – it’s just gonna be awesome!!!” We love you. We miss you. We want to do it again!
