Ombre Wedding Madness is creeping into Colorado. According to Webster’s ombre is “shaded or graduated in tone: said of a color.” According me to – it is simply awesome. This is a trend that needs to be done very very carefully to get it right – a simple mis-step and this can venture into tie dye territory. If you need a florist or a baker who understands where you want to go with this – call me. I have a few folks in mind who can do ombre wedding designs as well as the inspiration we see below. Remember, a little goes a long way. So how are we going to ombre your Colorado wedding colors?
I love the idea of the ombre backdrop for either a ceremony site or a dessert buffet. Green Wedding Shoes has a great tutorial on how to do this yourself! Please trust me, this is something you want to try out a few months before your big day – not the week of the wedding!!! Click here to see the how-to.
The ombre escort card is what I predict to be the most practical part of this gorgeous wedding trend. A heavy weight paper is a must! But the beauty lies in the tiny imperfections. And I love the strung flowers as an ombre backdrop. Consider carnations for the backdrop – super affordable and the carnations are available in a million shades . . .
The flowers are divine – aren’t they? Once again we have Martha to thank for the above inspiration and taking ombre floral to the next level. Of course, we probably have Gwen Stefani to thank (or John Galliano) for taking the first big plunge with her ombre wedding dress.
