It’s that time of year. Maybe it’s the eggnog. Maybe it’s the snow. Maybe it’s the sweet 120lb chocolate lab (he is ridiculous) curled up at my feet right now. But I love sitting down and looking back at where I have been as well as set my goals for 2012. Let’s face it — 2011 was an incredible year for me. I was lucky enough to finish my 6th wedding season with Pick Me Floral and launch my own company – Love This Day Events. I worked with the kindest and funniest couples and families. I was able to design and create beautiful events. I was able to meet and work with incredible new vendors. I tried new things that pushed me both personally and professionally. I was able to attend an incredible photography workshop (even more mad respect for wedding photographers!!) and I did some really great photoshoots. I was invited to be a part of Anna-Be-Five. I got to travel for 2 amazing destination weddings (one in Vegas – one in Napa – I know, my job is tough!!) I was able to work at new venues as well as bring new styles to some of my favorite old ones. And I was invited to attend several networking events in the mountains where met and brainstormed with other Colorado wedding planners that I admire.
Looking ahead to 2012 — the goal of Love This Day Events is fewer {and better} weddings. One event per weekend – with full attention on the bride and groom! I am also thrilled with the response to the 10% back that I am currently doing (until Jan 15, 2012 – 10% of all coordinations are being donated to one of four charities in the name of the bride and groom). I want every wedding to be different (because every couple is different). I want every wedding to be fun (because really – it needs to be FUN). I want everyone involved with your wedding to walk away the day after the event thinking THIS IS THE BEST WEDDING I HAVE EVER BEEN TO.
But most of all, I want to thank each and every couple (and a few wonderful parents) that I was lucky enough to work with over the last year. Each of you touched my heart and made me proud of the weddings that we created!
