Where oh where oh where do I even start with how much I loved this Colorado Lake wedding? First of all – Gwin and Ryan are hilarious. And so perfectly sweet with each other – so completely in love. We built their wedding design around their three biggest loves in life (each other, books and music) The end result was whimsical and sweet, books and mason jars with LED candles hanging from the beams of the Grand Lake Yacht Club, quoted from their favorite songs and books painted onto signs, yellow and white wildflowers accented with a succulent here and there and did I mention that half of the band is in the Dirty Dozen Brass Band???? Yep, this was a Colorado wedding for the ages . . .

The week before Gwin and Ryan’s wedding at the Grand Lake Lodge and the Grand Lake Yacht Club, they were guests at Annie and Brad’s wedding (click here to see that one!) — after seeing the gorgeous location that IS the AA Barn – we quickly rearranged photos so these two could have their first look in a field, with a rustic fence, the Colorado River in the background and the world’s most awesome big red barn. Sweet love . . .
Then it was up to the Grand Lake Lodge (where he proposed!!!) for a ceremony full of great music (Tori Pater – you have mad skills!) and giggles and happy tears . . .
After being led down the aisle with a front line (is that what it’s called in New Orleans?? — well, you know what I mean) it was time to head down to the Grand Lake Yacht Club for the reception. Burlap runners with a monogram. Yes, please. Mason jars and books and candles and beige chinese lanterns – OKAY! But first – Gwin and Ryan got to cruise around the lake in a gorgeous old boat, ride a tandem bike and have a generally delightful time . . .
So go ahead – just TRY to have as much fun on your wedding day as Gwin and Ryan did (and yes, they did jump into the lake at the end of the night).
