My screensaver is a quote that states “you know all those things you wanted to do? You should go do them.” It’s the perfect motivation (well – that and 3 cups of coffee) when I sit down at my computer in the mornings. Go do what you want – and be proud of it. Go do what makes you happy. DO IT!
This morning I found out that Love This Day Events was named one of Martha Stewart Weddings Top Wedding Planners of 2014. I die. I mean seriously. What an amazing honor – I am (almost) speechless. Over the last 3 years, Love This Day Events has pushed me in ways I never knew possible. I have loved (almost) every minute of it (I cant lie – the accounting part sucks). This year alone my team planned and designed 62 wedding days. 62 beautiful couples. What???? Over 38,000 miles on the car this year alone (with only one event in California) – we pushed out of our comfort level AGAIN with planning, event design and crazy pants logistics. We worked at some incredible new venues, returned with new designs to our familiar haunts, met new vendors whom we love and continued to push new ground with our tried and true favorites. We had some incredible media coverage (thank you Savannah!!!!) and now this honor from Martha Stewart. I am going to have to revisit the goal list for 2015 – because we just reached the 2015 goal with 9 days left in 2014.
Thank you to my team, 62 beautiful couples, countless venues and vendors (and a HUGE thank you to Laura Murray Photography for putting Love This Day Events work on Martha Stewart’s radar!!). Okay 2015 – let’s raise the bar again.
