Alison and Rick got married at Maroon Bells and had an insanely pretty reception at T Lazy 7 Ranch in July. I was lucky enough to serve as their coordinator AND designer for this barn glam Dr Suess quoted Aspen affair. My words will never do this day justice so we will have to rely on the AMAZING photos from Jason + Gina Photography. Seriously – amazeballs.
I loved the details that Alison and I created for this wedding day. It began with the Dr Suess quote about Mutual Wierdness and went from there.
Then we added sparkles. Lots of sparkles. When we were meeting with Jen from Caribou Catering for our tasting (seriously AMAZING) Rick described our decor like this “kind of like a fairy just flew through a barn.” Then he suggested that I fly quickly and leave some of the barn in tact. We built a menu that was as whimsical as the couple – mini sliders and mac and cheese, mini beers, fried chicken and short ribs . . . Yep, it was pretty amazing!
The cake – oh wow, the cake. Rachel from Intricate Icing absolutely blew us away with this delicious geometric number with another Dr Suess Quote . . .
