Dunton Hot Springs may be heaven on Earth.  Sara and Austin may be one of my favorite couples of all time.  Yes friends, these are big statements.  And this perfectly incredible November wedding lived up to them all.  I love that Sara and Austin aren’t afraid to LIVE their lives.  A few months after we started planning their wedding, they decided to up and move across the country and start new jobs.  There was no waiting around, no over – analyzing the pros and cons – they just did it.  This kind of fearless love of life and adventure is why I adore them so much.  And I had heard so much hype about Dunton that I thought there was no way it could live up to the reputation.  Instead — the view, the customer service and the food far exceeded the glowing reviews I had heard.  It is my pleasure to share these gorgeous photos from Michele Hart Photography . . .

As an event designer, I pretty much won the lottery with this couple.  After we finalized the venue, Sara simply added photos to her pinterest board and gave me carte blanche to create.  The end result was  a soft and oh-so fluffy color scheme of pale pink, ivory, gray and taupe.  Sara and Austin wrote a personal letter to each guest – thanking them for their participation in the wedding and telling them why they were so special.  A friend of the couple wrote their ceremony.  Another friend created the graphic of the wedding chapel to use on their invitations.  I proceeded in getting a stamp made of it and going a touch stamp crazy.  The entire weekend was a celebration of the couple, their friends and family.  It really was about the creation of a community.  And it was awesome.

The ranunculus this year in November ABSOLUTELY blew my socks off.  I built the bridal bouquet off of a white hydrangea base and accented with ranunculus, cafe au lait dahlias,  garden roses, native grasses and astilbe.  Love.

Cozy Indian blankets covered the benches at the chapel.  Since the wedding was the first weekend of November and an hour south of Telluride, we had no idea what the weather would bring us.  We prepared for snow.  We were ready for a blizzard.  Instead, we got the most spectacularly perfect warm day of late fall (this may be the only time ever I have been okay with global warming.  Just saying . . .)

Sara and Austin, all the love in the world to you both.  I love your fearlessness.  I love your sense of adventure.  Can we go back to Dunton for your anniversary?
