Jamie + Vince. Sun Valley Idaho. Best wedding weekend EVER. Seriously folks, this one is going to be pretty hard to top. Here is how I ended up in Idaho with two of my favorite people (and their kids and their dogs). Jamie found Love This Day Events going through the top planner lists on Vogue and Martha (shameless plug, I was on both lists).
We set up a phone call early Saturday morning and bonded over phone coffee about our personal dislikes of loud color (hooray for neutrals). Frankly, we just got along from the get go. We agreed to set up a scouting contract (because I only had one weekend open in July – surely the perfect venue and I would not be available then) and we got to work finding the perfect location. Sun Valley was THE spot for them. Having spent time there (for Vince, he grew up with family in the area and as a family … Vince’s 3 hilarious sons and their 2 dogs … they had spent holidays in Sun Valley. It was them. It is their happy place. And they both dig the writings of Hemingway so it was SUN VALLEY! Clearly the universe wanted me on this team because Trail Creek Cabin (THE BEST SPOT EVER) had one open weekend. We got the contract and started planning away.
I was so honored to work with the AMAZING Studio1208 (if you are not following them in IG – start now, their stories are hilarious) as well as Rachel from March Floral Designs, Ira and Lucy on rentals, La Tavola and Weed and Whimsy on the custom print work (SO GOOD!)
But most of all – MAD LOVE to Jamie and Vince and your incredible family. You two raised the bar for amazing (and definitely win for the best planning trip ever). More days like this please. More couples this in love. All the love in the world to you both!
