New Wedding Venue in Aspen

In RECENT WEDDINGS by LoveThisDayEvents

Two words people – ROOFTOP PATIO.  Three more words – THE GANT – ASPEN.  We are so excited that our friends over at the Gant hotel have been BUSY this last year undergoing a $5 million dollar renovation to create what I think about to be one of the busiest venues in all of Aspen.  Clean lines, green construction and more poolside fun.  Did I mention the rooftop with an indoor / outdoor option where we can have up to 200 people???

The redesigned main lobby of this new space will feature a floor-to-ceiling glass wall entryway, native floral vignettes and a new local artist display (i.e. – brides, you are going to have to go with whatever decor is happ. Through an assortment of new panel additions, entryways and area expansions, the split-level conference rooms will boast 40% new flexible indoor and outdoor floor plan options to accommodate functions up to 200 attendees. For special events, this project entails new banquet seating, a new ensemble of linens, glassware and silverware.  That means no rental fees for plates and glasses – that save you money!

The renovation also includes the addition of two new amenities. For brides and grooms looking to visually inspire attendees, The Gant’s new 1,800-sq. ft. rooftop deck will feature elegantly comfortable furnishings, artisan fire sculptures and native plant privacy walls,  making it one of Aspen’s most expansive and panoramic rooftop venue for al fresco gatherings.  The resort will also feature a new Market Café. Overlooking the pool area, the restaurant will serve a combination of hot- and cold-plate menu items, snacks and beverages guests and conference attendees can enjoy in their outdoor seating area, poolside or take to go. The restaurant will be open year round. With the addition of the Market Café, The Gant will be Aspen’s only full-service condominium resort to offer on-property food and beverage service.  Your pool days recovering from the party just got easier!

The new design is also fashioned for sustainability and neutral colors focusing on the native vegetation, energy-efficient lighting and a sustainable rooftop deck offering 360-degree views of panoramic, mountain peak skyline. In place of real wood, the building’s exterior siding will feature a durable, composite product made of rice husks, mineral oil and salt that visually replicates wood siding. Designed to replicate metal, the firm will use a panelized product throughout the exterior to add visual contrast and design accents. Indoors, every element – from carpet and paint to upholstery – have been carefully selected to minimize, if not completely eliminate, the presence of hazardous materials like Volatile Organic Compounds. Energy efficient lighting and a redesigned insulation system will make the building more energy compliant by minimizing air leakage and energy consumption.

The Gant has long been one of Love This Day Events go to spots for affordable wedding guest group lodging in Aspen (the proximity to town combined with the incredible customer service from the sales managers to the entire crew onsite makes it a great place to work with!).   Combine that with this new venue and we think that we are going to working in Aspen a lot more in the years to come!
