I have been DYING to share this wedding. The bride and groom are two of the best people – EVER. Their friends and families are pretty much the bees knees. I actually really miss talking to Lauren’s Mom every week! The design – fun, whimsical and quite frankly – delightful. The photography from Taylor Lord -amazeballs (yes, I actually just put that in writing). I LOVED THIS DAY! Enough of my rambling – here is some wedding eye candy (that I am delighted was featured on Green Wedding Shoes this week!)
Let is be stated for the record that it was actually Lauren who introduced ME to Pinterest. And that was August of 2011. My how the world turns . . .
We created the design around shades of aqua, mint, peach, pink, coral and gray. Any sort of whimsical thought that entered either of our minds was incorporated. Balsa wood flowers – check. Lace, velvet ribbon and burlap – why not?
When the guests arrived to the ceremony site – they were greeted by an Izze Lemonade stand, lawn games (you have to love a personalized corn hole game. I mean – you have to!) and a bluegrass band. The ceremony site was covered in over 300 paper flowers (did I mention how happy I was it didn’t rain????) and the guests walked through the personalized doorway to the ceremony . . .
The reception room was whimsy wedding heaven. Burlap tablecloths were anchored with mini cakes on each table. They were a hit! Smaller wooden boxes were filled with peach garden roses, white hydrangeas, coral peonies and dusty miller. Balsa wood flowers were used as napkin rings. And all of the print work on the tables echoed the burlap tablecloths. Iron lanterns hung from the beams and I was in heaven!
